At Lowerplace, we believe that learning should be fun and engaging; developing a sense of curiosity and wonder that inspires our children to both develop a lifelong love of learning and the determination and resilience to achieve their full potential.


Lowerplace Primary School is an inclusive and diverse school at the heart of the community. All staff are committed and provide a high-quality education, which promotes achievement in a secure, positive environment. We value the individual and promote a culture of respect for all. As a multi-cultural school, we celebrate and learn from the different cultures and backgrounds of our school community.


Everyone is valued as individuals and staff achieve success for the children and themselves. We encourage participation of children, staff, parents, governors and the wider community, recognising the key role these partnerships play in the education of a child.


We believe that our happy, safe and stimulating learning environment motivates our children to develop positive attitudes to learning, to expand their skills and knowledge, whilst developing the confidence and independence to embrace new challenges and experiences, setting high expectations for themselves and others.


Our curriculum is highly inclusive, recognising the diversity, individual needs, skills and creativity of all our children. We believe that our children learn best when they are given the opportunity to work collaboratively with others and are supported and encouraged to articulate their thoughts and ideas to deepen and retain their understanding. 


At Lowerplace, our curriculum focuses on the whole child, not just academically but also on the personal development and well-being of each child. It provides opportunities and experiences for all our children, which enables them to aspire to make a positive contribution to their community and wider society, both now and in the future.
