Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Lowerplace Primary School website.

Hello! On behalf of all the children, staff and governors, I would like to warmly welcome you to the website of Lowerplace Primary school. This website has been produced to help to provide you with an insight into our school. It is full of information that will help you familiarise yourself with many of our structures and routines. I trust you will find it useful and are able to find all the information you need – if not, please contact our school office who will endeavour to help you.

I am very proud, and privileged to be Headteacher of Lowerplace Primary School that is at the heart of the community. Our school is full of amazing children and staff and I can't imagine being anywhere else! This is my second headship and I have been in primary education for nearly 30 years.

Choosing the right school for your child is vitally important. We all want the very best education for our children, but we also want our children to be safe, happy and to feel secure.  We pride ourselves in ensuring that we provide a curriculum, which supports our children as learners in every sense of the word. Our teachers mould and develop the curriculum to make sure every child has the opportunity to be successful and leave us ready for the next stage of their education – wherever that may be. We are equally proud of our caring, happy and stimulating environment, in which children flourish. When you visit our school, you will feel the warm, welcoming atmosphere that we are so proud of.

We place great emphasis on developing a strong partnership between home and school, as it is through working together in an atmosphere of mutual respect and support that we can provide what is best for our children, in order that they may be happy, enriched and fulfil their potential.

I believe we are an extremely effective school and all the staff are committed to preparing your child for a life long journey of exploring, questioning and learning.

If you have any queries about and aspect of school life, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
